My artistic practice is a very intuitive, process driven response to the interplay of the different materials that I use to create. The process IS everything in my work. The initial marks, brushstrokes and colors spontaneously applied always lead me in the direction that the painting desires to go. I continue to challenge myself by allowing this space to evolve and transform over time. I love the process more than any other element in my practice. My mediums of choice are acrylic, ink, oil sticks and graphite. I also enjoy adding paper and other materials in my collage work. I love the texture and the transformation that emerges with each new layer. The actual application of thick paint and drips of ink, reveals a very freeing experience. I love how time just seems to stand still. I know that a piece is complete when it feels balanced and harmonious. My desire is that you will have a deep and immediate connection with it, and that it will bring you joy!

I am a contemporary artist living in Missouri. I graduated from Missouri State University with a B.Sc. in Psychology with an emphasis in Neurological Psychology. My art journey has not been the typical traditional path. My deep love and connection with the arts/design/architecture, however, is something that I have always felt very passionate about.
